Working on EHRxF
Working on EHRxF
The development and implementation of EHRxF is being worked on through a variety of initiatives across the European Union. This website, for instance, is being created and maintained through the xShare project. This section provides an overview of these developments.
The Hub
The European EHRxF Standards and Policy Hub provides the necessary (technical) handholds for EHRxF adoption. As the specifications and their corresponding aggregated assets in the form of X-Bundles will be evolving continuously, engagement with both industry players and regulators is necessary to gather input and foster support.
ESHIA
A new organisation, called the European Standards for Health Interoperability Alliance (ESHIA) has been created to operate the Hub beyond the duration of the xShare project. ESHIA will also take over responsibility for this website.
Contributing projects
Many other projects have contributed to the development of EHRxF and many ongoing projects are providing valuable experience with the specifications that may by 2027 be published as the official European EHRxF specifications by the European Commission. We provide links to the ones that we know about and work with here.
