About Us

This website has been established by the xShare project, funded through a grant by the European Union Horizon Europe Health program. xShare is a three-year initiative that envisions a future where everyone can share their health data in the European Electronic Health Record Exchange Format (EHRxF), at the click of a button.

For the duration of the xShare project (until December 2026), this website will be sponsored and maintained by an editorial team composed of project members.

As part of xShare, the European Standards and Health Interoperability Association (ESHIA) has been created as a legal entity to ensure long-term sustainability. ESHIA is expected to take over the governance of the EHRxF Standards and Policy Hub. At that time, responsibility for maintaining and developing this website is also expected to be transferred to ESHIA.
